Terms and Conditions Bike Rental

1. DROP-OFF OF THE BICYCLES
Bikes must be returned at the time stipulated in the contract. In case of delay, the customer must give prior notice, otherwise a penalty of 20€ will be charged.
2. LIABILITY FOR THE BICYCLES
2a. The customers bears full legal liability of the bike. In case the bike is stolen, the customer has to pay the full value of the bike.
2b. With BASIC PLAN: In the event of damage or puncture to the bike, the customer must pay all repair costs such as damaged components and manpower. In case of damage or loss of bike components, the following prices will be paid.
2c. ALL INCLUSIVE PLAN: All damages to the Bike, flat tires and repair costs are included. The damage insurance does not cover theft or loss of bike accessories. The insurance does not cover damage caused by misuse of the bike. The damage insurance for Trek bikes and Electric bikes is not valid if the bikes are not returned to the shop overnight. It is possible to choose the all inclusive plan only before the rental period starts. The damage insurance included in the all-inclusive plan, does not cover the theft of the bicycle.
3. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
3a. WITH BASIC PLAN: Roadside assistance is not available with the basic plan. In case of mechanical breakdown or puncture, the customer will have to bring the bike to Bike in Mind to solve the problem and he will have to pay for all repair costs such as damaged components and manpower. Alternatively, the customer can bring the bike to any bike shop nearest to him and he will have to pay for all repair costs.
3b. WITH ALL INCLUSIVE PLAN: In case of mechanical breakdown or puncture, the customer can request the roadside assistance service. The Roadside Assistance service is available every day during the opening hours of the shop, in Valencia city (maximum distance 8 km from Bike in Mind). Roadside assistance outside the city (from 8 km to maximum 25 km from the shop) it will have an additional cost of 40€.
4. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
4a. The rental is non-refundable.
4b. The client declares to be in good physical and mental condition to ride a bike.
4c. In the pick up moment the customer and bike in mind will check that the bike is in good condition.
4d. Bicycle rental is only available for persons of legal age, with the exception that a minor under 18 years of age is accompanied by an adult.
4e. A valid document such as ID / PASSPORT / DRIVER'S LICENCE and a deposit of € 50 per bike (€ 100 in the case of electric bikes or TREK bikes) are required at the time of the rental contract. The deposit is payable in cash or by credit/debit card (pre-authorisation). After having returned the rented bike(s) and accessories, the deposit will be refunded in full if no damage has occurred. If the bike is stolen or the price of the broken or missing parts exceeds the amount of the deposit, the customer must pay the difference.
4f. The bicycle(s) must be firmly locked (both frame and wheels) to a fixed and determined object.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
5a. The hirer assumes full legal liability for injuries and damages caused to himself and third parties. BIKE IN MIND is not liable for injuries and damages caused by the use of the rented items during the rental period. The damage insurance of BIKE IN MIND only covers damage to the company bicycle rented by the customer.
5b. The costumer is responsible for the payment of any medical costs in case of damage or injury to himself and third parties.
5c. The costumer must respect the rules of road safety. Any fines caused by improper use of bicycle shall be paid by the costumer.
